Skeletal Remains

It was March 12th and I was up in the Northern Neck area of Virginia when I spied this abandoned home. But what intrigued me the most was the skeleton. Can anyone identify what I was looking at? What is this the skeleton of?
The house as it appeared from the road.
As I worked my way around the property this was as close as I could get because of the underbrush.
Like many old farmhouses, daffodils lead you to the front door.
It was when I went around to the side of the house that the landscape became more interesting.
There were buzzards watching me from the roof as I studied these remains.
A closer look didn’t yield any answers. I still couldn’t figure out what kind of animal this must have been.
